Meet Harvey Schecter, DO

Harvey Schecter, DO, brings over 35 years of expertise as a board-certified family physician to his practice, offering specialized care in general medicine, acupuncture, physical medicine, diving medicine, and osteopathic manipulation. He provides expert care to patients at Reagan Medical Center. The practice has offices in  Lawrenceville, Dacula, Suwanee, and Johns Creek, Georgia.

Recognized as a DAN (Divers Alert Network) physician with extensive diving medical training, Dr. Schecter is also an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for class 1,2 and 3 physicals.

A distinguished graduate of Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, Dr. Schecter served as president of Sigma Sigma Phi National Scholastic Honor Society during his medical school tenure. He has contributed to medical education as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Emory University School of Medicine In Atlanta, Georgia, and the Georgia campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Schecter's pioneering work in acupuncture led to his approval as one of the first medical doctors in Georgia, shaping acupuncture regulations for the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. He maintains collaborative relationships with Atlanta's leading neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, sports medicine physicians, and pain management specialists.
